The Best Way To Find Right Appliance Technician In Your Area 

Of course, one of the best ways is to ask your neighbors, friends or acquaintances who live nearby and who have dealt with problems similar to yours and who were happy with the level of service they received.

More often than not, they will be more than happy to share technician’s contact information with you. At the same time, of course, this does not guarantee that everything will go as smoothly in your case, because this can be influenced by various circumstances, such as the complexity of the problem, the availability of spare parts, etc. (please do not blame those who gave you contact), but still this is a good starting point.

Another approach is to use “our friend the Internet” and social media.

I would start by using search phrases like: appliance technician nearby; appliance service White Rock or South Surrey or Langley, for instance;           < your appliance> (i.e dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, dryer, range, etc.) repair near me and so on…

You could do that right in the browser (Google, Bing, etc.) or in Google Maps. 

I must say that this method, in itself, without further analysis and critical selection, also does not guarantee 100% success. The fact is that, even in case of Google Maps, the likelihood of seeing truly local companies increases significantly,  with current technologies, you will often see at the top of search results either paid/sponsored advertisements or those companies that are not actually local to your area, but were able to set up a good SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

But this is not the only purpose of this article.

First of all, I am a customer like you in other areas that do not relate to appliance repair. And I share with you my experience of searching for other professionals.

Secondly, I know from my own experience that those companies that try to cover the entire Lower Mainland and hire a large number of employees for this, do not always able to pay enough attention to the quality of services they provide to each of the neighborhoods and its residents.

Local companies, on the contrary, greatly value their reputation among their neighboring clients, and therefore try to do everything possible to ensure that their service is excellent and that clients are satisfied themselves and, also, give good reviews and recommendations to others.

And here we come to the second important part when searching on the Internet – analysis and critical selection. When you see a list of companies on the first pages of search results, try to determine a) whether they are local and b) what their customers say about them. 

Of course, again, and this does not guarantee 100% success, but such a search and selection makes finding RIGHT technician more and more possible. Reviews are an important part of the selection process, and not everything is straight forward  with them, but I would like to talk about this in my next article.
